2010 R1 gets free Akrapovic cans

For a limited period and through participating Yamaha dealers, sportbike fans who choose the R1 can really sound like a champion, for no charge. All customers who purchase a new Yamaha YZF-R1 through those selected Yamaha UK dealers – a list can be found on the Yamaha website – will really be able to appreciate the unique sound of the bike’s crossplane crank and uneven firing order.

The latest R1 offer is for pair of carbon sleeved Akrapovic cans, worth over £1000, fitted absolutely FREE! Akrapovic are still arguably the coolest set of aftermarket pipes for most sportbikes, still hand-crafted in Eastern Europe and tested on the racetrack, where every last bhp, and ounce of weight saved, really counts.

Last year, the R1 collected so many accolades – MCN’s machine of the year, World and British Superbike championships and many group test wins across Europe. Now it’s that bit easier to buy, with low rate finance or PCP available from Yamaha UK, who also say that there are more R1 models to test ride this summer too.
