Adventure with Honda in 2011
If adding some adventure to your life is one of your New Year’s resolutions then enduro racing might be just be the answer – and Honda has the ideal way to get you started.
With the ease of a ‘ride and go’ offer, riders can turn up and take part in just one round, or even all eight rounds, of the established Fast Eddy XC Championship, with Honda supplying the latest Honda CRF250R class-leading machine, fuel, a mechanic, easy-up shelter and assistance at the race start and during refuelling.
Within the Championship rounds there are classes suitable for any level of riding experience from ‘Just for Fun’ through to ‘Pro’. Races last for around two hours and the idea is to lap the circuit of obstacles and challenges as many times as you can. But if this is a new experience in your motorcycle riding, then simply take it at your own pace and allow Honda to guide you through with the aid of highly skilled instructors from the Mick Extance Honda Off-Road Experience.
Riders can take part and enjoy ease of adventure for as little as £240 per event, or £1600 for the full season of eight races, run by four time World Enduro Champion Paul ‘Fast Eddy’ Edmondson. Further kit can be provided at extra cost and there is also plenty of moral support to keep you safe and enable you to enjoy your experience throughout the day.
The first of the 2011 Fast Eddy XC Championship enduros will take place at the all-weather track in Ashby de la Zouch in Leicestershire. The locations of the remaining dates will be confirmed in the New Year but dates are as follows:
Round 1: January 30
Round 2: February 20
Round 3: March 27
Round 4: April 17
Round 5: May 15
Round 6: June 26
Round 7: July 17
Round 8: September 18
