Aprilia tribute to US space shuttle

Aprilia USA has paid homage to the space shuttle project, by pointing out that its RSV4 superbike can go from 0-60mph two seconds quicker than it takes NASA’s $1.7bn shuttle.

As NASA prepares to retire the space shuttle project following budget cuts, Aprilia has released a viral video to pay tribute to the men and women behind the space shuttle project and the technological advancements that have been achieved.

In a video tribue, Aprilia points out that whilst the 81million horsepower shuttle goes from 0-60mph in a hardly pedestrian 4.6 seconds, the RSV4 reaches the same benchmark in just 2.5 seconds.

The company also claims that whilst the shuttle has five identical computers, each capable of 1.2million commands per second, the RSV4′s four computers combine to handle 500million commands per second.

Space shuttle Atlantis took off on the 135th and final shuttle mission from Kennedy Space Center in Florida yesterday.
