Blake roar into Prima Fashion Awards

Singing stars Blake made a dramatic entrance at last night’s Prima High Street Fashion Awards, arriving on a fleet of motorbikes in support of the ‘Get On’ campaign. The band, which were presenting and performing at the award ceremony, chose to arrive in style to show their support for the campaign which encourages people to try riding a motorbike and offers anyone over the age of 16 a free lesson on a motorbike or scooter.

Since James Dean and Steve McQueen captivated Hollywood hearts on the silver screen, motorbiking has become one of the most iconic and stylish forms of transport. Their entrance on bikes is fast becoming the quartet’s trademark entrance ever since they made their stylish appearance at the Classical Brit Awards in May which caused such a stir.

Stars from the world of sport, TV and music including Simon Webbe, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Darren Gough, Taio Cruz and Ray Quinn have all thrown their weight behind the campaign which is fronted by the dynamic website www.geton.co.uk, which not only offers free lessons on two wheels but is also the ultimate one stop shop of information on how to get into biking.

Blake, wearing suits from high street fashion store Next, made their dramatic entrance on the back of four striking black bikes from major manufacturers Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda. The fleet included a Yamaha XJ6 Diversion F, Suzuki M1800Z, Honda VT750S and a Honda DN-01.

The band were ridden in by qualified instructors from London-based Metropolis Motorcycles, the training school and dealership at which Blake completed their CBT a few months ago. Despite the band already all being bikers, they took the precaution of arriving as pillion riders which will allow them to enjoy the celebrations and after show party.

The Get On campaign, which is being supported by the strap line ‘Life’s better on two wheels’, promotes the freedom, fun, flexibility and sociability of biking, along with the time saving, accessibility, cost and environmental benefits, all benefits of which Blake have taken advantage of.
