Charlie, 8, has biking talent!
The entries for Britain’s Got Biking Talent 2011 have been flooding in ahead of Wednesday’s deadline but 8 year old Charlie Lawrence has already taken the honour of being the competition’s youngest entrant.
Unfortunately for Charlie, his Ducati motorcycle built from Lego isn’t eligible to win the competition but he does get a special mention from us here at Insidebikes and the good folks at Motorcycle News.
Charlie told MCN that he is “hoping to progress to a full size one when I get older” and that his favourite bike is his Dad’s Varadero.
The closing date for entries to BGBT 2011 is midday on Wednesday 17 Augus, when your bike will be assessed by our panel of expert judges.
This year’s panel is made up of global adventurer and TV celeb Charley Boorman, Red Dwarf star and bike fanatic Danny John Jules, MCN Editor Marc Potter and custom guru Jon Quantrell of Hawg Heaven.
Just 50 bikes will make it through to the final, with 40 bikes being picked by our expert panel of judges and 10 bikes with the most ‘Likes’ on the Inside Bikes Facebook page going into the top 50.
The final 50 will then go through to the public vote which will decide the top 12 and overall winner.
All entrants receive a free copy of Bike, Ride, PB or Classic Bike magazine and the overall winner will ride away with £1,000 in cash, a Protect A Bike motorcycle garage worth £1,049 and an Envy Motorcycle lift worth £249.
