Curtain lifted on SBKX game
Gamers looking forward to the latest World Superbike Championship computer game look set to be in for a treat if the latest developments are anything to go by, with work already underway on the new SBK®X.
After some disappointing reviews for SBK09, WSB promoter Infront Motor Sports claims to be “collaborating fully”, with distributors Black Bean Games and developers Milestone to ensure that the new chapter maintains the best features of the 2009 edition and puts into practice all the suggestions and recommendations from users of the previous versions.
According to the development team, “SBK®X represents a new direction, a turning-point, and a new benchmark for all the efforts made over the years to produce the only official SBK videogame.”
Initial impressions look impressive so far, with the game featuring impressive looking graphics and features such as track wear to better replicate the experience of flinging at R1 or GSX-R1000 into the bends of Portimao, Magny-Cours and Assen.
Take a look at the in-game footage to get an idea of what is in store when the game hits the shelves in May, available for PC, PS3 and XBOX 360.
