Ducati delight at Multistrada sales
Ducati has expressed its delight at the popularity of its flagship Multistrada 1200 model after total sales came in 20% higher than forecast.
Despite the Multistrada only being on the UK market for a few months, the manufacturer claims that demand has “often outstripped supply” and that dealers have been “flooded” with orders for the Multistada, although the company claims that the factory is working flat-out to minimise waiting times for new customers. Ducati UK has already managed to secure an additional 100 bikes for the UK market to be delivered in September.
The company has also claimed that the Multistrada has attracted a number of first-time Ducati owners, with research claiming that more than 40% of Multistrada orders are from customers who are new to the brand.
The Multistrada has been sold by Ducati as “a new biking concept” which “combines sports performance with an extremely comfortable ride and unrivalled versatility”. The “four-bikes-in-one” concept uses three technologies which interact to instantly change the chassis set-up and character of the Multistrada 1200.
Although ‘S’ models are still in high demand, customers can expect to order one now and take deliver by September/October. Base models in standard version or with ABS and are now available subject to individual dealer stock levels.
All dealers now have demonstrators so to book a test ride or to enquire about stock availability visit www.ducatiuk.com or http://www.multistrada.ducati.com/
