ERS to get pushed at Motorcycle Expo
The Driving Standards Agency will be promoting its Enhanced Rider Scheme at this weekend as the Motorcycle Expo launches at the NEC on Sunday.
The DSA is taking the opportunity to raise awareness of the motorcycle rider safety scheme which forms part of a nationwide strategy to cut the number of motorcyclist deaths on Britain’s roads.
The scheme, widely recognised by motorcycle insurance companies including Carole Nash, has reportedly seen a surge in interest following a similar promotion at the Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the same venue back in December.
The three-day exhibition runs until the 20th of January, with former MotoGP champion Steve Parrish making a special appearance at the DSA stand on the 18th.
The ERS scheme is designed to help riders of all ages and experience levels on bikes of all sizes to improve their riding ability with assessment and guidance from approved trainers. In many cases, bikers may even qualify for an ERS certificate without having to undertake any additional training.
The scheme is sponsored by the insurance industry and, upon receiving a certificate; riders could qualify for discounts on their bike insurance.
