Goldwing gets minor facelift

Honda has made only minor changes to the new Gold Wing, scotching rumours of a major new model in the near future.

The bike, due in UK showrooms in 2012 and the USA later this year, has some minor fairing changes to improve airflow and a new sat nav and sound system with iPod interface and larger panniers. The suspension settings have also been changed, but not any suspension components.

With Gold Wing production just moved to Japan from the USA, it now seems highly unlikely we’ll be seeing a major new model, including a predicted 8-cylinder version, for several years yet.

The current Gold Wing is priced at a hefty £23,125.
