Harley offers £1,000 trade-in
Harley-Davidson dealerships are offering up to an additional £1,000 part exchange for customers looking to trade in a rival model as part of their spring sales drive.
Customers considering their first Harley, or a return to the iconic American brand, can get an additional £1,000 on the trade in value of any non-Harley model whilst existing Harley owners can get an extra £750 to upgrade their existing model.
The company claims that, with the introduction of new models such as the naked XR1200X, the liquid cooled power cruiser VRSCF Muscle, and the urban retro Sportster Forty-Eight, a much wider audience has been attracted to the Harley-Davidson brand.
The offer, which is available until 31st May, is running in conjunction with Harley-Davidson UK’s focus on inviting customers back into dealerships across the country to test ride the latest range.
To encourage everyone to come and take a demo, the offer is coupled with an invitation to “ride to decide” via the industry-leading online booking system. This is available 24/7 at http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_GB/Content/Pages/home.html, making arranging a free test ride at dealerships across the UK quick and easy.
Riders interested in trying a Harley for size can organise their one-hour test ride by visiting the website and selecting their local dealership, the bike of choice and a suitable date and time from the list of options. In order to fulfil a test, riders must have held a full valid licence for a minimum of 12 months and will need to take both parts of the license documentation to the dealership with them on the selected day.
“The introduction of a trade-in offer, in conjunction with our highly successful online test ride booking facility, is a great opportunity for riders who have never ridden, or considered, a Harley before,” says Harley-Davidson UK and Ireland Country Manager Ignacio Isusi. “Our widely available demo rides mean that bikers can test any model from our current range, with no pressure or obligation to buy.
“We have enough confidence in our products to let them do the talking. The added trade-in incentive helps make entry into the brand, and trade up through the models for those who are keen to buy, even more affordable. We have been working hard to ensure that our bikes stay affordable and we have done this by ensuring that pricing has remained relatively stable despite this year’s VAT rise – plus the high residual prices of our motorcycles ensure a strong trade in value. The additional trade-up opportunity is an extra bonus for customers.”
