Harley’s Rocker Takes MCN Award
Harley-Davidson’s Rocker C cruiser model has been voted Cruiser of the Year 2008 in the MCN Awards, held last week at the Motorcycle Museum, near Solihull.
The award is a special one for Harley-Davidson, who have had a tough year in 2008, with plenty of rival brands making cruiser bikes this year, and more on the horizon. The recent VAT reduction also means that the Rocker C comes down in price to £14,055, making it even more competitive in the UK market.
Greg Willis from Harley-Davidson UK commented; “Demand has outstripped supply on the new Rocker C, we’ve had self-confessed sportsbikes fans buying this bike, it’s opened up a whole new market for us.”

February 5th, 2009I was one, a self confessed sport bike fan. Just got off 2007 R1 straight onto a Rocker C and love it. I was fed up riding sports bike for commute, stiff neck, arms and legs and pretending to like it. I wanted to be at ease! Saw a Rocker C in MCN review, travelled to local Harley Shop, sat on it , smiled from ear to ear and purchased it without even test riding as I knew it was going to be one cool ride. A set of Vance and Hines a it sounds and looks awesome. I still ride a BMW K1200S which is good for the buzz and nigh on as fast as the R1 - so very lucky to have the best of both worlds, sports and cruiser.
