Honda announce VFR1200F price

Bikers who were hoping to put the eagerly anticipated Honda VFR1200F on their driveway will be expected to pay £11,578 when the bike goes on sale in February.

Honda have confirmed that their new flagship model will retail at dealers for £11,475 (excluding registration and road taxes of £121), with a three-year warranty and increased servicing intervals.

Service intervals on the VFR1200F will be at every 8,000 miles (or 12 months, whichever is sooner) after the initial 600 mile “running in” service. Three year’s AA roadside assist cover is also included.

The price will be unaffected by the increase in VAT at the end of the year.

“The new VFR1200F is the ultimate machine for style and great all-round riding appeal. We’re very pleased to be able to offer currently industry-leading warranty cover as well as increased servicing intervals to reduce annual running costs for our customers,” said Steve Martindale, General Manager of Honda (UK) Motorcycles. “We’ve worked hard to ensure the VFR1200F is priced attractively to reflect its quality and uniqueness, but also market conditions and customers’ expectations, whilst further taking into consideration the forthcoming VAT rise.

“This, coupled with the after-sales added value and reduced cost of ownership to customers will add to the already desirable nature of this bike and we look forward to seeing it in our dealerships and out on the roads next Spring.”

Customers can book test-rides with their dealer for the ‘Start Something Special’ Valentine’s weekend official launch on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 February.
