CBR600RR: The UK's best built model.

We know that Honda machines have a good reputation for reliability and quality, but it's great to have this reconfirmed and recognised by the people who are really important to us - our customers.

Honda has been named as the most reliable motorcycle manufacturer, with models from the manufacturer taking eight of the top ten places on a UK survey.

The Honda CBR600RR (2003 onwards) was named as the UK’s best built motorcycle with a 93% satisfaction rating by around 12,000 readers who took part in MCN’s “Biking Britain” Survey.

The CBR1100XX Super Blackbird (1997 onwards) sports tourer was next in line, ahead of the VFR800 (98-01) and the VFR800 V-TEC (2001 onwards). The Fireblade completed the top six, with the 900cc version from 1992-2003 fifth and the 1,000cc version, introduced in 2004, sixth.

The Motor Cycle News reader surveys regularly question more than 12,000 readers as part of its ‘MCN Biking Britain Survey’. A total of 1.5 million questions have been answered in total since the surveys began, with each reader answering 100 questions about their motorcycle covering such diverse characteristics as rider comfort, build quality, reliability, handling, as well as style, running costs, engine and braking performance.

“We know that Honda machines have a good reputation for reliability and quality, but it’s great to have this reconfirmed and recognised by the people who are really important to us - our customers,” said Steve Martindale, General Manager of Honda (UK) Motorcycles. “An incredible amount of research, development, passion and effort goes into every single Honda machine so it’s extra-special to know that this is reflected in the British motorcycling community’s belief that Hondas are the best-built bikes. It also proves that new or used, there’s even more reason to buy a Honda.”
