Honda resumes Thai production
Honda has confirmed that it has resumed production of “some motorcycle and power products” in Thailand following the flooding in the Chao Phraya and Mekong River areas.
The latest flash flooding has largely halted Thailand’s manufacturing industry, with other automotive manufacturers, including Mazda and Mitsubishi, who have also recommenced some operations, and Toyota, which expects to restart some operations in Thailand this week.
Honda Motor Co. said today that it restarted production of some motorcycle and power products in Thailand, although added that it has no clear outlook for when production of four-wheel vehicles will resume, as flooding at its facilities has continued.
Honda had suspended its motorcycle production since 11 October and power products output since 6 October. Production of four-wheel automobiles was halted on 4 October.
