Lakeside goes Stateside
One of the largest shopping destinations in the UK is set to broaden its appeal next month with the opening of a new Harley-Davidson showroom opposite the existing retail centre. The glass-fronted building is sure to be eye-catching in its new prime Lakeside location in Essex.
The new addition to the 33-strong Harley-Davidson UK and Ireland dealer network is being opened by the Jardine Motors Group. It will offer the full range of motorcycles, as well as Genuine Parts, Accessories and MotorClothes®.
Lakeside Harley-Davidson will open its doors to the public in mid-September – a fortnight ahead of its official launch on the weekend on 2-3 October. The launch weekend will be marked with an open house event to unveil the brand new 2011 Harley-Davidson® motorcycles, which will be on display in store.
The centrepiece will be the brand new SuperLowTM, which reintroduces the pure pleasure of motorcycling. Balanced and responsive handling helps rider and machine glide through corners with smooth confidence. A low seat height, the broad V-Twin powerband and clean styling complete an appealing package.
The new Touring machines with upgraded 103 Twin Cam 103TM engine* and the Softail® motorcycles with ABS as standard* will also be on show.
“It’s taken a lot of preparation and hard work to get to this stage, but we’re really excited about officially opening the new dealership,” says Lakeside Harley-Davidson Dealer Principal Guy Konig. “We’re in a fantastic location and I think that we will encourage a lot of new people into the Harley-Davidson brand through its bikes and clothing.”
