From Biker Blind Date to rideouts, stunt shows to Lycra clad ladies, Butlins certainly saw it all last weekend at the MCNLive! event in Skegness! And the weather certainly played a part in the success that was one of the best events ever!
Over 4,000 motorcyclists took over the Lincolnshire roads and flocked to the coast on Friday for the bi-annual event which has become renown for great live evening entertainment in the Carole Nash evening venues and motorcycling merriment over the 3 days, and this April it didn’t disappoint…
Top manufacturers including Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha were showcasing their latest models with an exclusive launch of some fantastic race replicas from CMC Motorcycles. Guests also got to try out some new activities at the event including ATVs, off-roading and hovercrafts. Ranked 5th in the World Stunt Championships Mattie Griffin made his first appearance in Skegness and judging by the crowd’s reaction to his AC-style elegance it won’t be the last. And that’s not forgetting the usual suspects including trials rider Steve Colley, freestyle kings UKFMX and quad star Marc Gillespie.
Other highlights were the Riders for Health auction on the Sunday where together we raised a whopping £1,070, Hells Bells and The Sex Pistols Experience raised the roof of the Rock venue and our all new dance venue had guests jumping until the early hours to classic anthems.
