Monster to back British Supercross

Monster Energy has been confirmed as the sponsor for the final two rounds of the Future West ACU British Supercross Championship.

The energy drinks brand will back the penultimate round of the championship at London’s O2 Arena on February 5 and the season finale at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on February 19.

Monster Energy, which has long associated itself with motorcycling and extreme sports, will support the events with media coverage both pre and post event on the Monster websites and Facebook pages, as well as enjoying branding around the venues.

The riders will also be joined in the pits by the Monster Energy Girls, who will bring their own touch of style and glamour to the series.

“We are very pleased to have Monster on board for the British Supercross Championship,” said Future West’s John Hellam. “Monster is highly respected in the sport worldwide and to have the Monster Energy brand promoting the series through their advertising channels is a great boost for the series.”

“Monster Energy are amped to announce their partnership with the British Supercross series for the rounds in London and Liverpool in 2011,” added a Monster spokesperson. “Supercross has long been a passion for Monster Energy and we are stoked to be involved with the series on UK soil.

“We’re looking forward to fuelling the riders throughout the competition and can’t wait for all the action to get underway!”

The British Supercross Championship is privileged to now be included in the selective Supercross championships that Monster supports worldwide, including the US and Australian series.

Tickets are still available for the final two rounds in London and Liverpool. Fans looking to visit the O2 event should contact Ticketmaster on 0871 984 0002 whilst fans for Liverpool can call the Liverpool Echo Arena box office on 0844 338 8000.
