Balatonring will host MotoGP in 2009.
The Hungarian Grand Prix has been reinstated to the MotoGP calendar, the FIM have confirmed today.
As revealed yesterday, MotoGP promoters Dorna had made an official request to the FIM for the sport to return to Hungary at Lake Balaton with the governing body now pencilling in the event for September 20.
The Hungarian Grand Prix has replaced the Chinese event in Shanghai, which has been dropped from the calendar.
Qatar will once again open the season with a night race at Losail before moving onto the Motegi circuit in Japan for round two.
The British Grand Prix at Donington Park has been put back two rounds from June to July 26 whilst the US Grand Prix at Laguna Seca has been put forward to round eight and will take place over the July 4 weekend.
The season will once again finish in Valencia, with the final race of the season taking place on November 8.
