Peugeot’s Satelis Gets The RS Treatment
Peugeot has introduced a sporty version of its acclaimed Satelis 250 and 500 models, featuring a striking two tone matt and pearl black colour scheme that highlight the maxi-scooter’s striking looks.
At the front the tinted low profile wind deflector sits above twin halogen headlights. To add more sleek touches, there are matt black hydraulic telescopic forks and dual finish alloy wheels with machined sides and black rims. The exhaust heat shield also has a titanium-look finish, and there’s a special double-stitched RS edition sport seat with Alcantara® fabric insert. Alcantara® is the kind of fabric which many major car makers use for upholstery on their luxury models.
Both the 250 and 500cc versions of the Satelis RS use a modern single cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid cooled 4-valve engine. The Satelis 250 should typically return over 50mpg on a daily commuting trip in busy traffic. Michelin tyres are fitted as standard to the RS. There’s also a handy glove compartment, 12V power socket and a storage bay beneath the seat, which lifts using a hydraulic jack.
The Peugeot Satelis RS 250 is available for £3,899 while the 500 sells for £4,799, which places the Peugeot in the same ballpark price-wise as the Yamaha Majesty, Piaggio X8 and X9 machines, or the Suzuki Burgman 250/400 Honda Silver Wing 600 models.
Like all Peugeot scooters, the Satelis has a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty and there’s more info at www.peugeotmoto.co.uk
