Pirelli warns against smoking

BSB tyre provider Pirelli has come up with a series of new ads to discourage burnouts, all in the name of the environment.

The ads, produced by leading agency Y&R, take inspiration from the warning labels found on tobacco products and feature a series of clever wordplay messages to discourage tyre smoking.

The slogans include “Smoking can cause circulation problems”, “Smoking is highly addictive; don’t start” and “Protect chicks: Don’t make them breathe your smoke”.

Last month, Pirelli signed a five-year deal to supply tyres to the British Superbike championship. The company also provide tyres for the World Superbike Championship and, from 2011, the Formula One championship.
