Rossi shines at charity Motocross

Valentino Rossi was, not for the first time, centre of attention last weekend as he and a host of MotoGP stars past a present headed to Cavallara for a charity motocross event.

Rossi was joined by Marco Simoncelli, Mattia Pasini, Marco Melandri, Loris Capirossi, Kevin Schwantz, Raffaele De Rosa, Alex De Angelis, Michel Fabrizio, Roberto Locatelli, Emilio Ostorero, Graziano Rossi and Marco Luchinelli to wow the 10,000 fans in attendance.

The event was organised to raise money for a children’s hospital which treats leukemia sufferers in the Italian city of Pésaro, around 40km away from the motocross circuit.

But despite the list of attractions reading like a who’s-who of motorcycle racing, it was Rossi who was the undeniable star of the show as he demonstrated that he was more than capable of handling the off-road machinery, as this footage shows.
