The new RM XC.
Suzuki has signalled its intention to grasp a bigger chunk of the cross-country models with the launch of the two-stroke RM XC range.
The new XC models, which come in both 125 and 250cc variants, are based on the hugely popular and established RM range which Suzuki believe will offer everything that the Hare and Hounds or Cross-Country enthusiast needs. The model, which will be used by Relentless Suzuki Enduro rider Paul “Fast Eddy” Edmonson, features a larger capacity fuel tank, hand guards, O-ring chain and a Relentless “Fast Eddy” replica graphics kit.
Suzuki GB’s George Cheeseman claimed that the introduction of the new XC models will be welcomed in what was a growing market: “This element of the sport is not only a growing area, but also a discipline that is close to many of us at Suzuki,” he said. “We appreciate the demand for bikes that are more focussed for this sport, while recognising that many riders do not require full-spec enduro bikes with the additional registration and road fund costs.
“With the XC range, we are able to offer a proven machine that is a focussed but cost effective alternative to the usual choices.”
The models are available from Suzuki dealers now, with the RM125XC starting at £3,920 and the 250cc version coming in at £4,210 - both priced at £200 more than the current standard RM models.
