Suzuki launches Girl Torque site

Girl Torque – Suzuki GB’s all-new female-centric website resource has gone live today, with the clear aim to provide unique content to existing and budding female motorcyclists.

Offering news, features, advice and information on all motorcycling matters with a female twist, Girl Torque launches with a female-only Track Day on 14th September at the legendary Donington Park Circuit.

Suzuki GB’s Michael Le Flay, explained the thinking behind Girl Torque:”First things first, we don’t see female motorcyclists any differently from male riders, but what we do understand is the subtle differences and challenges faced.

“As such a male-dominated pastime, but with a healthy increase in female riders, we know that relevant information is not so easily accessible. For example, riding clothing sizes can be difficult to judge, as much as it may be for a new rider to understand the differences needed when it comes to seat heights. On top of this, we’re going to run some initiatives to make the world of motorcycling and Suzuki specifically to feel as inclusive as possible.”

Girl Torque launches with Suzuki’s first female-only track day on 14th September at Donington Park, where in association with Focused Events, participants will be able to take to the track in varied experience groups, while being offered the opportunity to test the very latest GSX-R models too.

On top of this, regular blogs from a selection of whacky and interesting female motorcyclists will grace the new site, along with focused information on riding kit and even event and race reports.
