Tail End Show moves to Lincolnshire
The BMF Tail End Show will have a new home in 2010 as it moves from the East of England Showground in Peterborough to Lincolnshire Events Centre at the Lincolnshire Showground.
After ten years in Peterborough, the popular show will make the journey 65 miles north to the Lincolnshire Showground, some two miles north of Lincoln, as part of a “thorough review” of the British Motorcyclists Federation’s events, with the promise of a better layout and more attractions in 2010.
The Lincolnshire Events Centre, adjacent to the showground, has recently benefitted from a £7.8m investment programme and the 205 acre site will offer some 3,000m square metres of indoor exhibition space in addition to the outdoor exhibition areas.
The BMF is also planning to offer additional benefits to its 80,000 members at the venue, including ‘members only’ access points and reduced rates for camping and day admissions.
Commenting on the move, Martin Chick from events management firm Mulberry said: “Our research has shown that people are happy to travel to attend BMF events and traders are keen to support the BMF, so relocating Tail End to Lincolnshire will not only give visitors a change of scene, it also gives us an opportunity to innovate and put on a new, reinvigorated show at a venue that is easily accessible.”
Lincolnshire Events Centre’s, CEO Mark Farmer said: “The BMF’s Tail End event coming to our venue is fantastic news. This prestigious event gives us a chance to demonstrate that this venue is second to none. There’s easy access from major routes but a wonderful rural setting once you’re on the site. Lincoln and Lincolnshire is very welcoming to the motorcycling fraternity and we have successfully hosted the European Lambretta Jamboree in 2009 which showed how warm a welcome the area will give to those attending the BMF event”
The BMF Tail End Show will take place on the weekend of September 18-19 2010.
