TTXGP launch eGrandPrix World Series

The creators of the TTXGP have brushed off the surprise at being shunned by the organisers of the Isle of Man TT by officially launching the start of the new eGrandPrix World Series for 2010.

TTXGP, who organised the world’s first zero-emission motorcycle race as part of last year’s TT, were left shocked after TT organisers decided to run with their own electric motorcycle event for 2010, despite the success of the TTXGP.

The feud looks set to rumble on, with teams not expected to declare allegiance to a particular series but that hasn’t stopped TTXGP from pushing on with their plans for the eGrandPrix World Series.

The series will take in 12 circuits, four in the UK, three in the USA, three in Italy, one in Canada and one in Spain, over thirteen rounds. UK events take place at Cadwell on 3-4 July, Snetterton on 17-18 July, Castle Combe on 11-12 September and the penultimate round at Brands Hatch on October 2-3.
