Victory CORE to get European debut

The highly sought-after Victory Motorcycles CORE concept will make its first European appearance this weekend as the doors are opened to the 2009 Carole Nash International Motorcycle & Scooter Show.

Visitors to the NEC will be amongst the first in Europe to see the Victory CORE in the flesh at the show which opens on Friday 27 November until December 6.

Designed and built by the Victory Motorcycles Industrial Team to show the future of performance cruisers, the CORE has been dubbed one of the most exciting motorcycle innovations in recent times. With minimalist looks incorporating a stylish ‘naked’ engine, futuristic body and hard-tail rear end, visitors will marvel at the next generation of motorcycle engineering and design.

Polaris Lead Industrial Designer Michael Song is known for his input on the Victory Vision luxury touring models which debuted in 2007 and is now behind the design of the CORE. Song, who will be on the Victory stand to answer questions on the new concept, commented:

“CORE is pure motorcycle. We wanted to strip everything that is not critical and build a motorcycle that borrows the production technologies we have incorporated into the Victory Vision. The frame and engine architecture of the Victory Vision was our inspiration however we wanted to make a statement beyond ‘custom’ and create something completely unique.”

Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of MCIE, added: “Launching bikes such as the Victory Motorcycles CORE concept are what gives the Carole Nash NEC Bike Show that added glitz and glamour missing from other UK motorcycle shows. We’ve been both fascinated and delighted by the number of leading manufacturers and independent bike builders who have opted to showcase their new products at the Show this year.”

The 2009 Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show will offer an incredible selection of bikes, accessories and components with a range of interactive features, all of which will demonstrate to visitors of all ages what the industry has to offer.

Visitors have until 5:00pm tomorrow (November 25) to take advantage of discounted ticket prices by ordering at www.motorcycleshow.co.uk.
