Agostini star attraction at Brands Hatch this weekend

Racing legend Giacomo Agostini is the star attraction this weekend as British Superbike Championship organisers pull out all the stops at Brand Hatch.

The Italian, who won the Grand Prix world championship a record 8 times between 1966 and 1975, notching up 122 race wins in the process, will be mingling with the fans this weekend at the Brands Big Bash triple header that plays host to round ten of the British Superbike Championship.

Agostini will be lapping the Brands Hatch circuit, along with a host of former and current big names in racing, and meeting spectators on both Saturday and Sunday, with plenty of other attractions on show both on and off the track.

Agostini will be conducting interviews throughout the day at the THINK! Motorcycle Academy unit, alongside Worx Suzuki’s Tommy Hill and HM Plant Honda Superbike duo Steve Brogan and Karl Muggeridge.

The THINK! Motorcycle Academy will also play host to the front-row qualifying press conference as well as Q&A and autograph signing sessions with BSB heroes and former triple Champions John Reynolds and Niall Mackenzie.

In addition visitors will get a closer look at the latest 2009 Superbikes along with interactive computer pods, a Honda rider simulator and some of the world’s most famous racing motorcycles, including the Kenny Robert’s Yamaha and Loris Capirossi’s Ducati GP990 Desmosedici.
