Donington’s warm-up races
Donington Park is playing host to some pre-season warm-up races at the end of March.
The two Donington Park Trophy races will be run over the weekend of the 28th-29th March 2009, and feature a prize fund of £5000, which should attract a strong entry in both Supersport and Superbike classes. Each Trophy race will be 12 laps long and take place on the Sunday with qualifying on the Saturday.
The meeting will also see the first race in the Six Nations series, where riders from England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man all compete, both solos and sidecars. OK, we know the Isle of Man is not a nation, but the Island has some road racing talent.
In addition there’ll be the opening rounds in the GSXR Cup, the Womens Championship and the 250GP series, all happening on the same weekend.
