by Douglas, IOM;
The Senior race has just finished here on the Isle of Man, with HM Plant Honda rider John McGuinness making history, by being the first road racer to crack the 130mph average lap speed
McGuinness made the 130mph average speed on his second lap of the race, on his way to taking victory in the Senior race at the Isle of Man TT. The Lancashire rider set the pace right from the start, with his only serious challenger being Guy Martin.
The race also saw strong performances from Ian Hutchinson, Ian Lougher, Steve Plater and Connor Cummins. BSB racer Michael Rutter finished in 8th place.
McGuinness is now the third most successful TT rider behind Joey Dunlop, on 26 wins, and Mike Hailwood who notched up 14 TT wins.
