Camier excited for Silverstone return

Leon Camier is looking to make his mark at Silverstone this weekend, twelve months after securing a memorable podium on his home circuit.

The Aprilia rider enjoyed a trilling weekend at Silverstone in 2010, fighting his way from 16th on the grid to stand on an all-British podium in race two.

Camier also claimed a sixth place finish in the first race last year and the 24-year-old is looking forward to another exciting weekend in front of an enthusiastic home crowd.

“I’ve had my fair share of races where I’ve had to fight my way through the field, probably one of the most memorable being at Silverstone last year,” said Camier.

“Going from 16th to stand on an all-British podium was something I’ll never forget – the crowd was amazing and the support I had was unreal.

“I’m looking forward to getting out there and seeing all the new additions. The Silverstone Wing pit and paddock complex looks awesome.”
