Corser in confident mood heading to Monza

Troy Corser believes that BMW can continue their impressive form this at Monza, claiming that their bike is suited to what the Italian circuit will throw at them this weekend.

BMW have enjoyed a transformation of fortunes since their debut season last year, claiming three top-five finishes from the last four races with some impressive showings in Assen and Valencia, propelling the Corser to seventh in the rider’s standings after four rounds of the season.

And the former World Champion believes that the BMW S1000RR is more than capable of coping with the historic Monza circuit, believing that they have the straight line speed and the braking power to post another good result.

“At Monza there are two keys: good acceleration and good brakes,” Corser said. “The circuit is in effect a succession of long straights and tight corners.

“At Assen we were really quick on the straights. If we can build speed quickly out of the corners and look after our tyres over the full race distance, I’m very confident we can have a good race weekend.”
