DiSalvo leaves ParkinGO BE1 Triumph

WSS rider Jason DiSalvo has left the ParkinGO BE1 Triumph team after just seven rounds of the World Supersport season,

The American rider, who signed up with the ParkinGO team at the start of the season, had high hopes for the 2010 campaign but resource and financial constraints appear to have ended any ambitions of putting together a meaningful title push.

Di Salvo sits a lowly 15th in the standings with 21 points, having retired from races in South Africa, Italy and Spain. His best finish was an eighth place finish in Australia on the opening round.

“The guys on the ParkinGO team really gave me an education about racing at this level, and I thank them for all they’ve done,” he said. “Being the only team with double the number of riders has made it difficult for each of us to perform at our best. I hope that with one less rider these guys can do better and that I can find a team who’s ready to benefit from my riding. Again, I thank the team for trying as hard as they could with what they have to work with.”
