Easton looking forward to NW200 challenge

Stuart Easton has admitted that he cannot wait for his highlights of the motorcycling calendar as he prepared to continue his fine road racing form at the North West 200.

Easton will ride for MSS Colchester Kawasaki this weekend and brings a growing reputation to Northern Ireland, having claimed his third successive Macau GP race victory back in November.

Easton has continued that good form in this season’s British Superbike Championship, with the Scottish rider sitting third in the championship with three podium finishes to his name, and although he has yet to win the North West 200, Easton did post a record speed last year with a top speed of 204mph.

That has given the 27-year-old some confidence ahead of this weekend’s event and he is looking forward to getting on the famous triangle circuit.

“This is one of my favourite events in the World. I enjoy the whole week, away from the riding it’s real relaxed and you get a chance to really bond with the team. It’s obviously far less intense than BSB but then race day goes crazy!

“This new Kawasaki ZX-10R is all changed for this year so we’re not too sure how it will go at this particular place, it’s been incredible in BSB and only practice will show its capabilities here.”
