Easton rushed to Belfast hospital after NW200 crash
Stuart Easton was rushed to hospital in Belfast yesterday with serious injuries after a crash involving teammate Gary Mason at the North West 200.
The 27-year-old tangled with Mason just after Mill Road Roundabout, heading towards Station Corner, during Superstock free practice and was rushed to hospital with multiple injuries. His teammate, Mason, was unharmed.
MSS Colchester Kawasaki has since confirmed the extent of Easton’s injuries, with the 27-year-old undergoing treatment for injuries to his femur, pelvis, hand and a suspected bowel injury.
In a statement, the team said: “The MSS Colchester Kawasaki squad and Kawasaki Motors UK would like to thank the many well-wishers and extend their full support to Stuart and his family in this difficult time.
Team owner Nick Morgan said, “We’re so desperately upset for Stuart, he is one of the nicest, unassuming guys in the paddock, regardless of talent and he has that in abundance. He’s been in fantastic form and this is obviously a massive blow to him and all his friends in the team and beyond.
“We wish him the very best recovery and will try and keep his supporters updated as regularly as possible.”
