Eurosport to screen Assen TT live as BBC relegates MotoGP to red button
British Eurosport has confirmed that it will be showing live coverage of the Dutch TT from Assen this Saturday, with BBC coverage available only to digital viewers via the red button and online.
The BBC, which has exclusive rights for live coverage of MotoGP races and qualifying, will only be screening the Dutch TT via the red button on Saturday due to a clash with Formula One from Valencia on BBC1 and tennis from Wimbledon on BBC2.
As a result, BBC Sport has allowed Eurosport to screen live coverage of the action from Assen, giving the channel a packed schedule of motorcycle racing this weekend.
British Eurosport 2 will broadcast all the MotoGP action from Assen live, including the 125cc, Moto2 and MotoGP races on Saturday, Thursday practice and Friday qualifying.
The channel is also dubbing the following day “Superbike Sunday”, with eight and a half hours of back-to-back action from the World Superbikes in Misano and the British Superbike Championship at Mallory Park.
