Hill tests Suzuki at Brands
Tommy Hill was using the British Superbikes break productively as he took the opportunity to get better acquainted with the Suzuki GSX-R at Brands Hatch this week.
Hill, who was drafted in as a stand-in rider for the injured Sylvain Guintoli, was “robbed” of a podium finish at Mallory Park two weeks ago after being caught up in Josh Brookes’ hairpin crash in race one.
Hill also impressed with a fastest time in free practice and with a front row qualifying time at Mallory on his first outing with Suzuki but decided to clock up the laps at Brands Hatch ahead of this weekend’s triple-header, with three races held over the weekend.
“It was good to be back out on the Worx Crescent Suzuki and working with the team again as we have had a bit of a break since Mallory Park,” Hill told the BSB website.
“We were not going for lap times as we were on track with a lot of other riders but for me it was great to get more laps on the bike. We have done a bit of work on the electronics but for me it was all about getting more time to ride. I just can’t wait for Brands Hatch now, it can’t come soon enough.”
