Injury rules Biaggi out of Imola
Max Biaggi will not race at Imola this weekend after failing to recover from an injury to his left foot.
The defending champion has undergone tests on the injuries sustained to his left foot at Nurburgring three weeks ago, which revealed that the fracture to his first metatarsal has not yet fused.
Biaggi, who sits third in the riders standings, 95 points behind leader Carlos Checa, has looked at riding with a special boot in an attempt to keep his fading title hopes alive, but the extent of the injuries will keep the 40-year-old out of action this weekend and possible at the Magny-Cours round on October 2nd.
