ITV to screen BSB highlights
ITV Sport has agreed a deal to screen highlights of the 2009 British Superbike Championship which will massively increase the sport’s television and online presence.
Nine-time BSB race winner James Haydon will present the hour-long highlights package from all twelve championship rounds in 2009, which will be screened on ITV4 on Saturday afternoons and then repeated midweek on ITV1. Each programme will also be repeated once more on ITV4 and on Men and Motors.
Those who miss the highlights show will also be able to catch up with all the action from the previous BSB round on the ITV Player online service.
ITV Sport takes over from Channel 4 as the competitions terrestrial broadcast partner, with live race and qualifying coverage remaining exclusively on British Eurosport.
Speaking on the announcement, CEO of MotorSport Vision John Palmer said: “This is great news for the fans and importantly the BSB sponsors and teams and reflects British Superbikes’ position against other motorsport series. This new ITV deal ensures that BSB remains on a free to air network, accessible to the largest possible audience.”

ITV4 is available on Freeview channel 24, Freesat channel 117, Sky Digital channel 120 and Virgin Media channel 117.
Men & Motors is available on Freesat 450, Sky Digital 178 and Virgin Media 280.
