Japan GP postponed
The Japanese Grand Prix has been postponed by MotoGP organisers, following the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit the country last week.
The event, scheduled to be held on April 24, has been rescheduled for October 2and will take place at the Twin Ring in Motegi.
Whilst the Motegi circuit has been undamaged by the 8.9-scale quake, the destruction of infrastructure throughout the country as well as concerns over radiation leaks from nuclear plants, has prompted the FIM to reschedule the event.
This is the second time that the Japanese Grand Prix has been rescheduled in the past two years, with the 2010 event being postponed due to the travel disruption caused by the eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland.
