Kawasaki WSS team push ZX-6R at Almeria
The Kawasaki Provec Motocard.com team prepared for the 2010 World Supersport Championship in Almeria at the weekend, as Joan Lascorz and Katsuaki Fujiwara put the ZX-6R through its paces.
The pair worked on optimising the latest suspension developments and advances in its electronics package, with the garage team also working to a new structure which it’s believed will improve efficiency on race day.
Lascorz, who clocked up six top-three finishes last year including one win in France as he finished fourth in the championship, clocked a best time of 1:37.45 whilst teammate Katsuaki Fujiwara lapped at 1:37.92.
“We tested some new things with the suspension and we continued working on our electronic systems,” said Lascorz. “Had we experienced better weather then I think we could have gone faster still. Let’s see if during the next test, on the 16 and 17 of January, we can have better weather and go quicker again.”
“Step by step I’m getting better,” claimed Fujiwara. “We tested many things on the suspension and learned to work with the new people in the team who deal with suspension and telemetry. I’m happy and very excited to continue working at our next tests in January.”
