Lorenzo fastest on day one in Valencia

Jorge Lorenzo was the fastest man on circuit on the second day of the traditional post-season test in Valencia.

The world champion posted a time of 1:32.012 to finish at the head of the time charts, ahead of Casey Stoner who impressed onboard the Honda for the first time this week.

Lorenzo’s new Yamaha team mate, Ben Spies, was third fastest in the day whilst Dani Pedrosa and Marco Simoncelli all posted sub 1:33 lap times.

With all of the attention on Valentino Rossi this week as he made his first outing on the Ducati, the Italian posted the tenth fastest time of the session, putting him one place behind Nicky Hayden.
