Lorenzo to miss Valencia test
Jorge Lorenzo will not test for Yamaha in Valencia this week, the team has confirmed, with the Spaniard still suffering from an injury to his left hand.
Lorenzo was in Valencia at the weekend although he did not race in the season finale, instead sitting out of the round to recover from a hand injury sustained in Australia last month.
Yamaha has today confirmed that Lorenzo will be absent from this week’s test, and that team-mate Ben Spies will be the man in charge of carrying out testing duties on the 2012 1,000cc YZR-M1 bike.
The announcement also means that test rider Katsuyuki Nakasuga will not test the new 1,000cc Yamaha.
