Dunlop and Simoncelli Notch 200 Wins

Dunlop tyres celebrated their 200th consecutive win in the fiercely competitive 250cc two-stroke class, with victory in Japan this season, as Marco Simoncelli took the chequered flag.

Dunlop presented Simoncelli with a special helmet to mark the occasion and threw a party to congratulate their winning riders in the 2008 125 and 250 Moto GP series. The year has been especially good for Simoncelli who became World 250 Champion, whilst fellow Dunlop-backed rider Mike De Meglio took the world title in the 125 class.

Raoul Smits, Marketing Manager for Dunlop Racing commented; “This is not only our 200th consecutive GP victory in the 250 class, but our 16th season where we have backed the championship-winning rider and team. Racing helps us develop road tyres with outstanding safety and performance.”
