Oulton BSB; Sykes makes it a double
Race 2 at Oulton saw Tom Sykes take another hard fought win, after shaking off a strong challenge from Cal Crutchlow, who pursued Sykes all the way to the flag.
Shakey Byrne took third place, with Leon Haslam in 4th position once again. The race proved disappointing again for Guy Martin who was well down in 18th place, just behind Rizla Suzuki’s Watanabe.
The results barely dent Shane Byrne’s large points lead at the top of the table, as Sykes was a long way down. Unless Shakey has a couple of DNFs it seems unlikely that anyone else will mount a serious challenge at this point in the season.
