Oulton to open new spectator facilities
Redevelopment work at Oulton Park is nearing completion that is designed to improve spectator views and facilities at the Cheshire venue ahead of the 2010 British Superbike Championship.
Circuit owners MotorSport Vision, who have already completed resurfacing works at Brands Hatch, have introduced a new viewing area at Britten’s Hairpin, providing spectators with a view of that section of the circuit for the first time as well as spectacular views of almost 3/4 mile of circuit from Island Bend through Shell Oils Corner and Hill Top.
MSV have also taken over from private contractors for the catering facilities at the Chequers restaurant, with a new menu being introduced for 2010 that the owners claim are part of a commitment to “improving the value, range and quality of the food service at the circuit”.
There will also be a separate quiet camping area for families attending race meetings this season.
“We have worked very hard over the winter to make sure that visiting Oulton Park in 2010 will be an even more pleasurable experience for the tens of thousands of visitors that will come through our gates,” said circuit manager Simon Bonser.
“Over the past few years, more and more spectators have begun to take advantage of our superb camping amenities at the circuit, so it’s very important to MSV that our visitors can enjoy tasty food, clean facilities and a quiet and safe environment during their stay.”
