PBM Kawasaki WSB report
The PBM Kawasaki team had a tough time in South Africa over the weekend, as the Hannspree World Superbikes series took them to Kyalami.
With Tamada out due to injury, PBM drafted in local rider Sheridan Morais, who posted a respectable 13th place in race one. Morais went on to make 11th spot in race two, not bad for a rookie WSB racer.
Meanwhile regular PBM racer Broc Parkes was nursing an injured shoulder and recorded a 15th place in race one and 14th in race two. Parkes will use the two week break before the MIller Motorsports round in Utah, USA, to gain some physical strength as his shoulder recovers from a test session crash. PBM’s regular rider, Makota Tamada should be race fit by then as well.
Nori Haga won both WSB races at Kyalami, with Fabrizio in 2nd place. Jonny Rea was the most successful British rider with a brace of third place results, whilst Leon Haslam scored a 4th place spot in race two, Shakey Byrne finished 9th in race one and Tom Sykes also clocked up a 9th place in race two.
