Pedrosa tops Jerez testing times
Dani Pedrosa picked himself up from the disappointment of Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix to post the fastest time of the day on Monday’s post-race testing session.
With all 17 riders in the paddock taking part, Pedrosa posted a time of 1:39.425 – 0.223 second slower than his pole-qualifying time from 48 hours earlier.
Pedrosa led from Valentino Rossi who crashed out in the afternoon session, but the Yamaha man recovered to post a time just 0.55 seconds off Pedrosa.
Sunday’s race winner, Jorge Lorenzo, was third fastest, just over a second faster than surprise package Randy de Puniet, who posted the fourth fastest time of the session.
Andrea Dovizioso completed the top five whilst it was another difficult day for Ducati, with Casey Stoner and Nicky Hayden lapping with the sixth and seventh fastest times respectively.
