Pramac move will happen, claims Capirossi agent

Loris Capirossi’s manager Carlo Pernat has confirmed that a the Suzuki rider’s proposed move to Pramac Ducati “will happen”, with suggestions that the move could be announced at Brno this weekend.

Capirossi has made no secret of his desire to leave the Rizla Suzuki team when his contract expires at the end of the season, expressing his frustration at the team’s lacklustre showing in the championship over the past three seasons, and the 37-year-old looks set to ride a Ducati machine once again in 2011.

Speaking to GPOne.com, Pernat claimed: “What will happen is the contract between Loris Capirossi and Ducati Pramac for next year, and this is a great thing for my career; Loris is happy too,” he said speaking about his own plans having turned 62-year-old.

The Italian, who is the most experienced rider ion the paddock with 308 MotoGP starts, spent five seasons with the Ducati factory team between 2003 and 2007, claiming 24 race wins from 180 starts.
