Suzuki calls on de Puniet to test 2012 bike
Randy de Puniet has tested for Rizla Suzuki this afternoon, with the manufacturer looking to get an outside opinion on its new bike for 2012.
De Puniet, who has yet to confirm his plans for 2012, has tested the Rizla Suzuki today, posting a fourth fastest time of 1:33.544.
Rizla Suzuki has worked with Álvaro Bautista in a single rider team this season, with the exception of a couple of wild-card appearances for John Hopkins, and it is accepted as a good opportunity by the team and the Suzuki factory to get another rider’s feedback during the final test of 2011.
Casey Stoner finished the day as the fastest rider, with a time of 1:32.322 from his 34 laps, with Dani Pedrosa just over half a second behind. Ben Spies was third fastest with a time of 1:33.226.
Valentino Rossi was fifth fastest on the 1,000cc Ducati, ahead of the two Monster Tech 3 Yamahas of Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow.
