Tech 3 show true colours in Jerez
Yamaha Tech3 have unveiled their new colours ahead of the 2009 MotoGP season with a distinctive new black, yellow and white livery.
Britain’s James Toseland won’t be difficult to spot from the stands next season, with Tech 3′s new sponsorship deal with American energy drink brand Monster Energy signalling a departure from last year’s yellow and blue colour scheme to something much more striking.
Monster’s green “M” logo unsurprisingly takes prominence on the satellite Yamaha M1 and the company will have a strong presence on the MotoGP grid next season, with world champion Valentino Rossi signing a personal deal with the brand.
What was also revealed in Jerez however as the Monster Tech 3 team opened its shutters for the first time was the new pit wall that will separate feuding teammates Toseland and Colin Edwards.
The pair have made no secret of their opinions of each other in recent months, with Edwards unhappy at a recent crew reshuffle which saw crew chief Gary Reynders move over to the Toseland camp midway through the 2008 season.
